About Us

Nawpukuria Janakinath Jadunath High School (H.S) is situated in the village Nawpukuria, P.S – Beldanga, Dist.- Murshidabad. It is established in 1984 and recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as Junior High School in 1986. It is upgraded as X Class in 2009 and Higher Secondary with general stream of Arts and Science in 2015. The number of students is gradually increasing day by day. At present it is 2398. The sanctioned post of teaching staff is 40 and that of non-teaching staff is 03. Our motto is “Read, Learn, Be a Man”. Keeping this in view our devoted teachers chalk out yearly planning for the academic, behavioural and cultural development of the students. There is a close contact among the guardians, the school authority and the teachers. The neighbouring people feel proud of the school as they are the part in the rapid development of the institution. Besides having conventional system of class room teaching we have introduced Digital Class Room for better understanding and learning. We also have introduced Digital Remedial Class Room for the backward students. We have established the ‘Light House’- a centre for career counselling which helps the students to choose their future career according to their knack or competency. This effort has largely been felicitated from various corners. Our National Service Scheme (NSS) unit meant for the students of Higher Secondary level shows excellences in organizing social awareness programme all the year round. There are 4 well equipped separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences and Geography. We run a library with sufficient stock of books though there is no post of librarian. In order to grow mental, intellectual, physical ability and cultural, aesthetic and moral sense of the students we conduct co-curricular activities in parallel.
